Constant lead generation within your business will keep the gears turning. But what exactly is lead generation? Lead generation is when businesses strategically implement ways in which they can build interest in their products and/or services, in hopes that those interested will become paid customers. Therefore, it is basically creating awareness for your business or brand.
However, before focusing on generating leads, there are two steps to ensure that you are being efficient. You must ensure that:
- You develop your brand and define what it is.
- You identify your target audience and target market
They may seem the same, however, there is a bit of difference between the target market and audience. The difference between both is that your target audience is the specific group of people that have similar purchasing traits, while your target market is the entire group of people you would like to advertise to.
After this, it is time to develop your strategies for attracting customers to your business. Here are 5 ways to generate leads.
1. Facebook Ads
Facebook is one of the most effective and familiar ways to generate leads. Especially with its integrations with Instagram. A free option is organically posting content on your Facebook page to attract people to look at what you have to offer. However, if you are willing and able to pay, Facebook ads have a lot of targeting tools that you can use, including sorting your audiences by age, location, and interests. There is also the option to boost your posts so that it reaches a larger amount of people within your target market.
2. Write Blogs
Writing blogs provides a great avenue for interested persons to find out more about your business as well as to answer questions that these customers may have. This is where you will also tie in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques to increase your searchability on the internet and your ranking. Blogs give you the option of sharing pictures, videos, articles, infomercials, etc. A great way to boost your lead generation, especially through informative articles.
3. Run Traditional Ads
By traditional, I mean TV, radio, and print ads. While your business may be in the startup phases, you may use more modern options like social media that will not cost you a great deal. However, you can also run your ads in local newspapers or business magazines. When your business has grown to a degree, you may add television and radio ads that will be reaching a broader audience.
4. Use Email Marketing
Once you get the opportunity to gather emails of possible clients, use that to your advantage. Share information on new products and services, provide exclusive information for your market, and also provide educational content that will be helpful to them. This can also drive traffic to your website so customers can see right away what you have to offer and give them a reason to come back.
5. Offer Discounts/Deals
Most people if not everyone is interested in saving a buck if they can. Running ads on social media that display your current discounted options and products will draw customers in. Ensure that it is displayed boldly on your website and social media platforms, with attractive, bright colors. This is especially attractive to visitors on your website or socials.
Every decision counts in business. Therefore, you have to be strategic with the decisions you make for your business. Live boldly into the truth that you are offering a much-needed product or service to your customers. Once you believe in it, your customers will too.
